Being on safari in South Africa’s Limpopo Province is hungry work; you’re experiencing incredible wildlife sightings and taking in all the sights and impressions of some of the most scenic spots in the country. Let us feed you in our open-air restaurant, the Calabash Grill. With its funky, African-inspired décor, it’s open to our gardens and overlooks the large swimming pool. In the evenings, is atmospherically lit with lanterns, enticing guests to linger and enjoy our menu and wine list. We also serve a scrumptious buffet breakfast daily, and can cater for special event.
The Calabash Grill is open to people not staying at the lodge.
Thinly sliced, marinated ostrich, garnished with black pepper, balsamic reduction and parmesan
BBQ basted beef or chicken burger, topped with cheddar and bacon and set on a toasted roll with mixed greens, tomato, mayo and finished with battered onion rings, served with fries
½ Chicken, oven roasted and finished on the grill with peri-peri basting, served with peri-peri dipping, sliced bread and rice
Served with your choice of either potato chips, or vegetables of the day, steamed rice or putu pap

Sliced rare rump steak, set on a bed of mixed lettuce with mushroom, strawberry, cucumber, red onion, crumbled feta cheese and vinaigrette dressing
Ostrich fillet strips, stir fried with garlic, onion and julienne of veg, tossed with soy sauce and egg noodles
Granadilla fruit with cream cheese, set on a biscuit base
