Deep in the bush away from the activity of the cities and large towns, lies the Limpopo Province with a plethora of bird species. With more than 600 species, the area is suitably equipped for a birding session that one can only dream of.
Generally the birding is excellent all the year round. Summer birding is suburb with an influx of Palaearctic and Intra-African migrant species. Some species coming from as far away as Russia to escape the severe winters.
The immediate area around Sefapane is blessed with some very diverse biomes and given its location, you may be privy to sighting some of the diverse bird species from the privacy of your terrace.
The large natural dam fringed with reeds, where over 220 species have been recorded is a stone’s throw away from your rondavel and promises a birding experience like no other.
A birding guide who can find those exclusive species can be arranged for guided walks around the property.
